Cookies store information related to the specific terminal device you use. However, this does not mean that we know your identity.
Cookies help make the use of our online services more pleasant. For example, we use so-called “session cookies” to recognize that you have already visited individual pages on our website. These cookies are automatically deleted after you leave our website.
In addition, to improve user-friendliness, we use “temporary cookies” which are stored on your device for a specific period of time. Analysis tools
a) Tracking tools
The tracking tools mentioned below and used by us are based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. With these tracking tools, we aim to ensure a demand-oriented design and continuous optimization of our website. We also use tracking tools to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it with the aim of optimizing our offer for you. These interests must be considered legitimate within the meaning of the above provision.
The purposes of data processing and the categories of data processed can be found in the descriptions of the respective tracking tools.
aa) Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.com, Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, hereinafter “Google”). We use it for the purpose of tailoring and continuously optimizing our pages. In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created and cookies are used (see Section 4 above). The information generated by the cookie about the use of this website, such as:
-
Browser type/version,
-
Operating system used,
-
Referrer URL (the previously visited page),
-
Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address),
is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage for the purposes of market research and the demand-oriented design of these web pages. This information may also be transferred to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. Under no circumstances will your IP address be associated with other data held by Google. IP addresses are anonymized so that an assignment to a specific natural or legal person is not possible (IP masking).
You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to fully use all functions of this website.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en). For more information about data protection in connection with Google Analytics, please refer to the Google Analytics Help Center: https://support.google.com/analytics/?hl=en#topic=3544906
ab) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
To statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing it, we also use Google Adwords Conversion Tracking. Google Adwords places a cookie (see Section 4) on your computer if you have arrived at our website via a Google advertisement.
These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on the Adwords customer’s website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to this page.
Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Adwords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to compile conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Adwords customers are informed of the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information with which users can be personally identified.
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of the cookie – for example by adjusting your browser to generally deactivate the automatic setting of cookies. You can also deactivate cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain www.googleadservices.com. Social Media Plug-ins
On our website, we use social plug-ins from the social networks Facebook, Twitter and Instagram in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in order to make our website better known. This commercial purpose must be regarded as a legitimate interest under the GDPR. The responsibility for data-protection-compliant operation lies with the respective provider. We integrate these plug-ins using the so-called “two-click method” in order to provide the best possible protection to visitors to our website.
a) Facebook
We use Facebook plug-ins on our website to personalize your usage experience. For this purpose, we use the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button. This is an offer from Facebook.
When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection with Facebook’s servers. The content of the plug-in is transmitted from Facebook directly to your browser and integrated into our website.
By integrating the plug-ins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not logged into Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can directly associate your visit to our website with your Facebook account. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example by pressing the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends.
Facebook can use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research and the design of Facebook pages according to needs. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website in relation to the advertisements shown to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services related to the use of Facebook.
If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website directly to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.
For information on the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and settings options to protect your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s data policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/
b) Twitter
Plug-ins of the short-message network Twitter Inc. (Twitter) are integrated into our website. You can recognize Twitter plug-ins (tweet button) by the Twitter logo on our site. An overview of the tweet buttons can be found here: https://about.twitter.com/resources/buttons
When you visit a page of our website that contains such a plug-in, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Twitter server. Twitter thereby receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. If you click the Twitter “tweet” button while logged into your Twitter account, you can link the content of our pages to your Twitter profile. This allows Twitter to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. We point out that, as the provider of these pages, we do not know the content of the transmitted data nor how it is used by Twitter.
If you do not want Twitter to be able to associate your visit to our pages, please log out of your Twitter account.
Further information can be found in Twitter’s privacy policy: https://twitter.com/privacy
c) Instagram
Our website uses plug-ins from the social network Instagram, provided by Instagram LLC., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Instagram”).
The plug-ins are marked with the Instagram logo, for example in the form of an Instagram camera.
When you visit a page on our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection to Instagram’s servers. The content of the plug-in is transmitted by Instagram directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Instagram receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not logged into Instagram.
This information (including your IP address) is sent from your browser directly to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged into Instagram, Instagram can directly associate your visit to our website with your Instagram account. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example by clicking the “Instagram” button, this information is also transmitted directly to an Instagram server and stored there.
The information will be associated with your Instagram account and displayed there to your contacts.
If you do not want the information collected via our website to be directly associated with your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website.
